Communiqué indicating the time limit to adapt to the new liturgy.pdf

Lac-Etchemin, December 3, 2024
Dear Members of the Lady’s Work,
In the decree of November 30, it said: “Further information will be provided in the next few days to help those people who may have some difficulty immediately passing to the new Mass.” That is why I am writing to you today.
After our meetings of the Council of the Works, after many prayers and a complete examination of the situation, always attentive to the welfare of all the persons concerned by the liturgical development within the Church of John, we wish to show our solicitude to the members of the Work who may not feel well prepared to take this decisive and determining step, the witness of the new faith that has issued forth from the work of the Co-Redemption.
With that in mind, we have foreseen a period of adaptation of a month, from December 8, 2024 to January 8, 2025, during which the current Mass could continue to be celebrated, but not under the name of Church of John or in any of the locations where the new Mass will be celebrated publicly. Beyond that time, the current ritual will no longer be considered as a ritual of the Church of John.
This measure was taken so that no one would feel excluded, but accompanied instead in his progression. What we all hope for is that we will be but ONE; however, the unity of a Work destined to lead to the Kingdom cannot be achieved if it renounces its mission.
May the Lady guide and enlighten all of us as the days go by!
