Dear Members of the Lady’s Work,
The Lady’s Work “is moving forward” – as our Marian Father, Father Victor, so ardently hoped at the end of his life (cf. Le Royaume, no. 289, p. 7 and no. 290, p. 7) – and it is preparing for other developments at the appropriate time.
On the practical level, with a view to the introduction of a new Mass on December 8, 2024, that was in conformity with our faith, a Liturgy Bureau was set up first under the responsibility of Father Leander Van Renterghem with the assistance of Father Jean-Michel Bouchard. This Bureau is doing excellent work that is appreciated by everyone, especially in the choice of the readings and the composition of the prayers adapted to the new liturgy.
Then a Bureau for Sacraments was set up under the responsibility of Father Eric Roy, with the help of Father Carl Beaupré. This Bureau demonstrated its effectiveness with the organization of the ceremony for Confirmations last September 14, which according to everyone went very well.
Now it is a matter of taking another step in view of the future. Thus, after consultation, we decided to establish an Information Bureau which will have the twofold task of responding to the requests coming mainly from persons from the outside (but also from members of the Work) and to prepare different documents as the need arises.
This Bureau will be the responsibility of Christian Sasseville with the assistance of Serge Laprise, both of whom live in Lac-Etchemin. Christian – whose wife Claudette is the Animator of the Army of Mary – worked for almost 40 years in the field of public communications, especially for the Department of the Environment in Quebec, where he acquired much experience in the area of media relations. As for Serge Laprise, who has been directing the Choir of the Immaculate since 2011, he has been a member of the Army of Mary from the very beginning, and with his wife Lucie was close to Marie-Paule. Consequently, he is very familiar with all the history of the Work, its components and its orientations. Christian and Serge will be able to call on the assistance of other persons as required.
On the level of external relations, it is a matter of seeing that the Bureau will be ready to field questions from journalists or direct them towards the right person according to the requests from the media. It is necessary that the Lady’s Work give an accurate and consistent image of itself which, if possible, will arouse interest. The same concern to be receptive to requests should prevail during meetings with visitors who come to Spiri-Maria.
Finally, if a journalist or any other person from the media contacts a member of the Work directly, this latter, unless he has been mandated to do so, should avoid answering the questions himself, but recommend instead that the person get in touch with the Bureau which will be able to provide him with the information requested or direct him to designated persons.
Internally, the Bureau will also be able to answer questions from members to the extent that this is within its mission and future development or to give them the name and contact information of the person who can give them the requested information.
The Information Bureau will soon have office space at its disposal to gather together all the documents required to fulfill its tasks, and a telephone number will be communicated to the members and announced in the review. For the time being, you may get in touch with Christian or Serge at the Bureau’s Internet address: information.oeuvre.dame@gmail.com.
The time is coming when the Lady’s Work will have to begin opening up to the world. That will be the time to testify and to radiate and spread the truth. We must be ready.
May the Lady bless us all! May She always protect and help us!
