Communiqué concerning the creation of a Bureau for Sacraments

Dear Members of the Lady’s Work,

On November 18, 2024, the Liturgy Bureau was set up. Since then, its main task has consisted in coordinating the daily readings of the Gospel and the Works of the Lady, besides those of the Spiritual Heritage of Humanity on Sundays and feast days, and of distributing them to all the priests and making them available to everyone on Internet. A huge amount of work has already been done mainly by Father Leander Van Renterghem, and a large number of members of the Lady’s Work are rejoicing over the choice of the new readings.

Another dossier to which priority must be given is the one of the sacraments and more specifically of the sacraments for which a registry must be kept; that is, marriages, Baptisms and Confirmations, without forgetting funerals. In the future, the celebration of funerals will have to take into account what Marie-Paule revealed to us concerning life after death. Similarly, all the sacraments will progressively have to be adapted to our new faith.

Until they are adapted in the future, it is necessary to centralize the management of those sacraments, while giving to the priests who will be called upon to celebrate them the necessary autonomy. This is why today we are setting up a Bureau of coordination of the sacraments or more simply a Bureau for Sacraments, charged with ensuring their coordination for the entire Work. It will be under the responsibility of Father Eric Roy, assisted by Father Carl Beaupré and both will be able to have recourse to the necessary persons to successfully fulfill their responsibility.

For all the sacraments to be celebrated at Spiri-Maria, Father Eric will manage the calendar of availability of the chapel, see that the necessary registers are prepared and kept, as well as see to the proper unfolding of the ceremonies. For marriages, baptisms and funerals, the faithful will continue to make arrangements with the priest of their choice.

For marriages (celebrated at Spiri-Maria or elsewhere) the priest chosen will also be responsible, in collaboration with Father Eric or his assistant, for the prenuptial enquiry as well as for the marriage preparation. So that there will be a good preparation, and when all the conditions will have been clearly defined in the coming months, he will be able to enlist the help of a Mother of the Family of the Sons and Daughters of Mary, or even of a married couple, but this will always have to be done with the prior agreement of Charlotte Bélanger, the International Mother of the Family. Finally, a new ritual for marriages will be prepared as soon as possible, one that conforms to our religious orientation.

For the baptisms (celebrated at Spiri-Maria or elsewhere), the procedure to be followed remains basically the same for the time being. In the coming months, a new ritual for baptisms will also be developed, permitting that, when the parents so desire, the child may be admitted at the same time into the Family of the Sons and Daughters of Mary. In any case, all the sacraments will evolve as the Work advances towards the Kingdom.
