A Huge Potential of Sanctification
Dear Members of the Lady’s Work, Dear Friends,
Trials and tribulations are assailing us, leaving us no respite, and this to such an extent that I de-cided to write to you once again. However, I will not talk to you about the problems and difficulties we have had to face for some time now; you will hear about them enough from other sources.
For it is in such a context that the Lady’s Work moves forward and grows. Of course, the present situation is painful; it hurts and sometimes even very deeply, but this suffering can be fruitful, like fertilizer that dissolves in the ground so that, above ground, very beautiful flowers may then blossom.
Have we not all experienced some difficult times, decisive ones even in a sense, and those difficulties still persist? And yet, in the depths of our soul, does there not continue to be a source of confidence and serenity? However shaken or roughly treated the Work might be, it is also what makes us live, and regardless of what is said around us, we know that Marie-Paule is the One we firmly believe She is: the divine Spouse of the Redeemer and the Co-Redemptrix of humanity.
Faced with our faith, the Evil One can pull out all the stops, writher about to worm his way in everywhere, bring to naught the most generous plans, confuse the intentions, set people one against the other. He hurts us but he does not knock us down. More than that, this is how he strengthens us – going counter to his own objectives – and that is probably what God wants, so as to fortify his soldiers before the more demanding battles that have been foretold and will have to take place.
Marie-Paule gave us everything: all the spiritual and psychic weapons we need so that we can prepare ourselves; for, as the Lady warned us: “Men persist in not seeing the gravity of the situation in the world.” (31st message) She even implored us: “You must take cognizance of the gravity of this time!” (41st message) This is so important that Heaven intervened, forewarned us, but it also informed us of the outcome of the battle and gave us everything we need to face it and resist all things.
So, what should we fear? We know that, as we say in the Consecration to Marie-Paule in view of the Kingdom, “you will always be with me especially if, one day, I am given the opportunity to sacrifice my life for you.” And without going that far, do we not know that She accompanies us every day, guides us and protects us at all times? Do we not realize that the tribulations the Lady accepts to subject us to, carry with them a huge potential of sanctification and, if we accept them well, they transform us, sharpen our gaze and strengthen our resistance?
The Work can still have to suffer, it can still be shaken, treated roughly, and reduced perhaps to even fewer than what it is today, but it will not die! The Work is divine – and we know this, because, in spite of the weaknesses of the men and women making it up, there are an abundance of proofs of the divine Will. The Work must lead us to the Kingdom and this latter is not “optional”. It will be the crowning of the history of men, an unprecedented event, and we have the wonderful but painful privilege of being in the front row.
Let us have faith! Let us cultivate our hope! And let us really love one another.
